I don’t have any friends here. I mean, I wouldn’t ask any of you to help me move, for God’s sake. That said, I’m too old to not just pony up for professional movers.

Doug knows how much I love Wings and little people, and he makes a point to bring them up, and I smile every time. When he stops posting, I’ll be sad.

This place is like work, though. There are dozens of people here who I don’t know, but I know from work, you know, and when they leave (like Strat), it feels different, but you carry on, and you remember there used to be a Cal Varnsen, a LoathedVermin, and a Sarge that were part of your daily life for years and then just weren’t. But Jorge is still here. And Chud. And Ruddo. Bammer, Lenny, Trag, Dev, Biff, LMS, etc, etc. I don’t know any of them, but I could tell you something real about all of them.

This place is like a Wilson that talks back but in dozens of different voices. None of you will be pallbearers when I go, but many of you have made me laugh, think, angry.

You live an interesting life in Argentina. You once pissed me off and I regrettably called you Whore Hey. Chud has collected more Korok seeds than anyone I know. He crashed a car into a house and has slept on Rudddo’s couch. I’ve had a beer with Ruddo (he paid) in Myrtle Beach. He was in the military. He’s handsome. Bammer has a Matt Cameron drum set and thinks Marvel is baby shit. I already told you about Lenny. Trag once tried to make a living selling ice cream. He’s a great family man and his family is crazy. There is an Orange County Choppers meme about this that made me laugh so hard I gagged. Dev feuds with more than anyone else on the board, and he has more issues with himself than with anyone else, but he’s a good dude. He’s the Dime of GD. Biff is the Everyman of the board. He’s the sort of person who can tell you when the price of stamps increases. I love his posts because they feel like non-scandalous diary entries. LMS and I share a love for the band Paw. He’s seen them live and I have not.
