Man, if I achieved doctorhood I'd definitely have all my underlings refer to me as Dr.

My brother’s father-in-law became a doctor after a career change. He wasn’t a doctor when they got married. We all still call him “Mr.” and I think it low key annoys the shit out of him. But he’d never say so bc he knows if he did, we’d just double down.

what if you referred to him as Mr. Dr.?

Tbh I don’t respect his medical opinion, so not calling him doctor feels like more of a slight
