The truth is, I don't know anymore. Up until last year I could have argued for the value of this place, even after the utter shit show that was 2016-2020.
The friendships that I value are still meaningful to me. But even those feel mostly stained anymore. I don't have contact info outside of RM for some folks. So that's a big part of keeping me here. But that's no excuse. I could just give those folks my info and move on.
I've pulled back a lot. And I want to pull back more. I think the mod status and a feeling of helping B is honestly what really keeps me coming back at this point.

It isn't really loyalty. It's sympathy. Everyone has abandoned this place. And he's doing it all by himself. And everyone rags in him for it constantly.

I genuinely still find this place entertaining. There are some funny people here. I’m not an overly social person in my offline life, so it’s kind of a social outlet for me.
