I think I'm just scarred from having to clean up kids' puke off of the carpet because they didn't make it all the way to the bathroom before letting loose.

I also grew up in places with hardwood floors.

i should note that our kids are older (15 and 13), and we do not own dogs or cats.

whether or not to buy my wife's uncles apartment in Vancouver..he's in an old folks home now and has a place 1 block from the beach that he has had for over 40 years...dirt cheap needs a lot of work

that's is when you make a note of the date and time and take pics. when they hit 15/16 ground them. show them the pictures of the mess as well as you cleaning up said mess

Hard pass. I get the fun aspect but I don't want you dying unnecessarily. Cars are simpler and comfier and safer and more sensible.
