Daisy Ridley's post Star Wars career hasn't been great. She's really good as Rey but I hope she doesn't feel it's all she can do, that would be a bummer.

If it's an old/familiar/expected villain, everyone will say it's lazy.

If it's a new villain, everyone will say that the writers just read reddit and decided to force some weird new thing into the story because they didn't want the wrath of the fans and everyone is a shill.

There's def someone smart and creative enough to figure this out. In all seriousness, all good to go with Rey again. I think she nails the Jedi thing. I would encourage them to limit the freaking Easter Eggs and go with mostly new characters.

Yeah, I feel like setting this 15 years after the events of the last movie helps (to some extent) in that regard. But we'll see. I do fully expect some more familiar characters, to be sure. But hopefully only those that make sense for the story.

I hadn't even thought about Chewy, 3P0 and R2. But those make sense. Though, at this point it feels more like BB8 is her droid than R2.

I think those that you mentioned but also Finn, BB8, and Grogu are all on the table as obvious possibilities. Rose is another one that could be possible.

Constant Easter Eggs kills any fun in new SW
