A proper char dog is indeed a beautiful thing. I’m guessing Jorge has exclusively had boiled dogs.B wrote:A properly made hot dog is a brilliant combination of sweet, salty, and fattiness that delights the human palette.Jorge wrote:Ah yes the nuanced flavors of a FUCKING HOT DOGspike wrote:It’s called a maturing palate. And not even all the time at that. It’s become quite rare for me to use it anymore.

I’ve had Sir Kensington’s which is pretty good. Even bought a bottle once.

the secret to a great Bloody Mary is to pour an ounce or two of Guinness to start..whatever else you put in it is your choice...bodysnatcher wrote:Bloody Marys taste like I’m drinking ketchup, I can’t do it.

Re: Ketchup
In England ketchup is less sweet and more vinegary. My sister's ex-husband basically had a meltdown upon finding this out. English food was too exotic for his dumbass palate.

Re: Ketchup
For all my passionate defense of ketchup, I never really use it. Sriracha has taken that place, as it's just as sweet as ketchup but a little spicy. Of course most hot sauce enthusiasts get just as snobby about sriracha, but that's bullshit
