I figured Jorge meant misplaced. Who's stealing your phone if it's on your person? You've got bigger things to worry about at that point.

People lose their phones all the time! It's like one of the top 5 most lost things!

The last time I had to replace (not upgrade) my phone was maybe 5 or 6 years ago, because it slid out of my coat pocket and down the floor of a moving bus and then slid through the slight crack of the not quite sealed bus door and onto busy traffic... I got out of the bus to find it and it had already been run over by several cars. Accidents happen!
