The 80s—you had to be there, I guess. Some of these movies are hard to defend in 2023, but they have a certain charm.

The 80s had a kind of comedy that was very distinctive of that time. You could see some signa of it in the 70s, but even by the early 90s, it was like the movie industry had moved along to something else.
