she's alive.
my wife was walking to our car that she parked out front and saw the mom walking her dog. she confirmed that mary is still alive and kicking. she's such a little trooper.

she didn't have to. the mom brought it up herself (she mentioned how their 24-year-old, special-needs daughter lives with them).
