Watch the local (Seattle) news one day. Watch it the next day and you’ll think they are repeating the previous day’s news, but no, these are new shootings, smash n grabs, encampment fires, etc.

Wash rinse repeat literally every single day.

I can't speak for Seattle, but HPD has certainly been working hard to juke the stats.

I've already acknowledged this is gonna be a big change for me. Ill have to lock my doors now. I am also thrilled that we didnt end up with a house that shares an alley with 100 other homes where a lot of petty/sometimes violent crime has occured in the area.

Ive gone soft living in Vail for 16 years.

You didn't lock your doors? Did you live in 1960's Montana?

I live in Vail Colorado. Nothing happens here. Except hit and runs/drunk drivers/and drunks falling into the river.

More than once, some drunk dirtbag stumbled home and passed out onto the wrong condo couch in Big Sky
ha! That is not surprising.

I remember walking by the ER hospital in Vail and thinking they probably lead the country in emergency knee operations related to horrific ski accidents, and are last in gunshot wounds.

Two recent vehicular homicide cases here in recent weeks.

Both cars traveling 112 mph.

One on the freeway, drunk driver (who happens to be here illegally and will face deportation).

The other in a 40 mph zone, driver 18 years old and this is the third car he has totaled in the last eleven months.

112 in a 40-zone? Good god. How does this kid still have a license?

Well, wease, it’s a good example of my larger point that people don’t face consequences for the things that they do these days. Not from the legal system and also not from their parents.

Bammer, are you a deontologist, consequentialist, or virtue ethicist?
