The action is kinda weird. Don't hate it. Don't love it.

Final verdict: It was a good waste of time. If you can look past the Amazon Prime studio notes bullshit. Gyllenhaal was great as usual as a closet psychopath. Sometimes funny, often cringe. Hated the change of setting at first, but I got used to it.
6.5/10

Lot of homoerotic undertones here. "I thought you'd be... bigger!"

I love the occupational fantasy in movies like this. As if there were dive bar owners scouring the country looking to pay superstar bouncers top dollar to work for them. One of my favorite genres.

Forgot Terry Funk was in this. Much better actor than Conor.

Terry Funk was a hell of a guy.

Lot more tits in this one. Always shocking to remember that we live in a more puritan age than the one we left behind. Why did we do that again?

See this one is better because Swayze's character is an ex-philosopher, not a UFC thug. This movie has more class. It's more high brow.

Swayze kinda comes off more like a teetotaling preacher than anyone who would ever work at a greasy bar. He's checking for fire code violations. Too far.

Holy shit, it's Wade Garrett, King of the bouncers! Known far and wide! The living legend!

I love how swayze moves like a ballet dancer in this. Total alpha move.

Love the fat guy in the suspenders. One of the all time great henchmen.

Hero can't kill the bad guy even though he just murdered all his henchmen in cold blood. Classic blunder.

The music is slightly better in this, but the lack of a killer soundtrack is a major failure of both these movies.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
