oh now i see what you wanted trag (i thought you just had wave files and shit you wanted people to look at. the bass is much more visible (cool to hear). eddie was clean. guitars seemed a little more muted, esp mike’s solos
i have definitely become much more cognizant of sound this album cycle for…reasons

oh yes, I'm also really hoping some wizard can do something to improve how this album sounds and fuck it if AI is needed, it's already a Frankenstein album so a little more won't matter.
I feel like an alien here reading everyone's enthusiasm while i still can't get past how unnatural this all sounds. I understand they now have some limitations as human beings and it's probably easier to hide that under the sugar coating but pearl jam should still aim for fugazi, not justin bieber.
team trag, thank you very much for trying this experiment.

If you think it sounds like Bieber you’re listening to a different album than me.
I look forward to hearing the trag mix once I’m back at my computer tomorrow.

With the snare sounds on this album this project is doomed. I still hold out hope that it won't be half as bad though.
Good job, Trag. This sounds much better.

Acknowledging that you obviously aren't working with the core sound objects, it loses some dynamism, but, otherwise, it sounds great and it's a damn better job than I could ever do.
Really appreciate that you maintained the width.
Awesome job

This sounds pretty awesome to these untrained ears .. almost like a different song !
Edit: it's so cool to hear Jeff's bass part on Scared of Fear more clearly. It does an amazing job working in tandem with the guitar melody.

I don't have the energy or critical skill to critique individual tracks on this project, but I'll gratefully receive a Trag Matter album when it's finished

Trag, all of your efforts are greatly appreciated...at your leisure & convenience, please...obviously.
Quick question...What would theoretically happen if you tried to play the blu-ray atmos mix through a non-atmos enabled stereo amplifier?
We know that the atmos on Apple Music will go through Apple's proprietary binaural filter in the absence of an atmos set-up, but, what happens with the blu-ray?

does it make sense to you that I'm actually finding it easier to listen to the album in Stereo than Dolby Atmos without a real DA setup? especially in headphones, I realised the DA setting was making things very distant that I didn't want distant (mainly drums; even if I don't always love their sound, I need their impact)

To sum it up trag, are you asking us to listen to this, then react and respond to you?

Great work!! Im looking forward to hearing the rest.
Im also really not a fan of the Serban Ghenea mix. Btw, who the hell mastered the record? is it Bob Ludwig? I could be missing something, but I cant find it in the liner notes.

So....this is really strange, and something which has, to my best recollection, never happened before....
Early take, granted..subject to change, disclaimers...blah, blah, HOWEVER....as of right now...
I absolutely, unequivocally, enjoy the atmos mix via headphones (ie fed through Apple's proprietary binaural filter) more than I do the actual full-on Kevin's Mom atmos mix though my 5.1.2 set-up.
Now, shiiiiittt...my atmos set-up isn't of the baller variety; certainly no Andrew Wottmon, growing up on the north shore of Long Island, 75k per year property tax atmos set-up, but, damn, I'm still a mid-manager level audio snob with a couple of satelitte dish ears and some smarts....
This thing sounds like unrepentant ass..as in, I don't know what in the ever-loving fuch happened here.
Gigaton was far from a demo disc....Josh Evans was just getting his sea legs with the format then, but, it sounds sterling next to this...One song after another, side by side, no comparison.
Ed sounds like he's singing from Mars, and it's being transported back via a metal tube...Barely audible. Buried so far underground here in NY that his voice took a wrong turn with Bugs Bunny somewhere and ended up in Albuquerque...No idea
Will investigate further and report in. Oh...Sir Trag, as to your question. No recommended set-up that I could see given in the booklet, though, I acknowledge, I am half-blind.
