Wreckage - This one is frequently stuck in my head so I keep thinking I’m going to like it more, but every time I listen it doesn’t do much for me. I’ve had this experience randomly with a couple other pj songs throughout the years (Deep, Other Side).

Upper Hand - I understand why people love it but I just can’t get into the middle portion of the song. I like the build up beginning and the “carry me home” ending but the meat of the song is by far my least favorite vocal delivery on the album.

Moving both songs down the track list helps some but I haven’t gotten anywhere near as attached to them yet the way I have with the rest of the album.

If I produced Dark Matter I would have hidden potato easter eggs in each track, and then wait for intrepid fans playing with the mix to discover them

They’re already there. If you play the record backwards, you’ll hear Eddie chant “potato” in Latin.

Do you always listen to Vitalogy beginning to end?

Yes. My signature isn't my signature just because it's a cool Ed quote...I truly believe it.

I don't listen to Vitalogy often, but, when I do, absolutely!

I'm the same; for me, if an album has songs that I flat-out hate, it significantly ruins the album for me; it doesn't make sense to say "great album but I hate 3 tracks"; that's why it was so significant that PJ made Gigaton and Dark Matter, neither album is perfect but neither album has any skips, after three previous albums that (for me) did

Impressive. While I get the purpose of some tracks, and sometimes enjoy Pry To and Bugs within a full Vitalogy listen, because they contribute towards the album’s message and vibe, I have not listened to the last track in probably decades. There’s no joy or satisfaction for me in that even knowing its purpose.

I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with just listening to a few songs here and there if you’re hankering for them. I mostly enjoy listening to No Code, Yield, Riot Act, and Gigaton end to end with no skips, but sometimes I’ll just want to listen to a particular couple of songs that I’m in the mood for.

Oh yeah, listen....No judgement from me whatsoever. I say things the way I say them in a post sometimes just for amusement, please know that.
Never expect anyone to adhere to my choices.
However people listen is great..Whatever makes people happy.

Ed really wasn't kidding when he said this is their best work.

Is it their all-time best album, all things considered? Probably not.

But I think you can make an argument that it's the most consistent work they've done from start to finish.

None, but then again, I've only listened to the whole thing straight through 3 times.
