Same feeling after the whole. I love it for what it is and for existing. But it's no grand, original art piece. And that's ok. For a comedy. It will age well. I see this series syndicated within ten years.

We liked the first season looking forward to this one.

I like Gillis' stand-up but this show was not it. He can't act. At all. He seems super nervous the whole time. It's distracting!

New season is twice as many episodes? Didn’t expect that. Watched 3 of them tonight. I laughed a lot. I love Shane, though.

I find this aspect endearing. It’s the only way you know he’s not a total asshole, so you’re willing to root for him.

i havent looked into the background of the show at all

and have never seen shane gillis' stand up act

do they make stuff up as they film (like curb your enthusiasm?)

seems like there must be some element of that

i would google but i prefer the old fashioned method of message board inquiry

I think there would be elements of that, but nowhere near the level of with Curb. I'm pretty sure Steve Gerben/Gerbies (the super awkward manager) is credited as the main writer. But I could be wrong on that.

Wonderful season. It’s nice to have a funny sitcom with heart. My favorite sitcom of all time is Wings. Seeing Thomas Haden Church in this all these years later really warms my heart.
