i havent come back to that first album since it came out really.

Chihiro is so fucking good. Im kinda annoyed she hasnt played that one in tv performances or awards, but i understand why she pushed Birds Of A Feather...very groovy, very subtle and at the same time its poppy as hell.

But again Chihiro's groove and melody is just in another level, i hope she continues to explore this path.

I find her really boring. Sorry, probably could have kept that to myself.

I think she's fucking great. But I think I can understand why she wouldn't be someone's jam.

Yeah Higgs! Say it!

OK. Every year our national broadcaster Triple J does a 'Hottest 100' countdown where they have people vote for their top 10 tracks of the preceding 12 months and count them down over one day of the Australia Day weekend. It's fun and a nice way to spend the day drinking beers and hearing "what the younguns are listening to".

BE has been all over the thing the last few years, so much so that she now jointly holds the record for the number of "charted" songs on the thing at 25 or something. And that mildly irritates me in itself.

The thing is, every time one of her songs has come on over the years (with the singular exception of bad guy) It's immediately dropped the vibe and flow of things. So much so that this year I took to posting yawning gifs on our family chat whenever she popped up (which she did an annoying 8 times). I didn't mind the CharliXX collab though, truth be told.

So that's my reasoning. But she must be doing something right 'cause she's out there breaking records and people keep voting for her.

But also...
