Marvel = 57 threads
Star Wars = 189 threads
We've got a ways to go.
Let me rephrase that:
There are 8 official Star Wars movies with a 9th on the way and a handful of official spinoff movies. Plus whatever number of books and tv shows.
There are about 14,000 Marvel movies with 9 more on the way each month plus umpteen decades of comic books and about 300 channels’ worth of tv shows.
That doesn't change the fact that we have 189 SW threads, bammer.
As long as B is posting, Marvel will catch up by the end of the year

I've shown great restraint! I haven't even started a Captain Marvel 2 thread yet.

A 3/3 tie isn't exactly a landslide.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Marvel movies represent the type of perennial capitalist commodification that should make us all sick. The fact these movies exist and continue to be churned out should unify us all in shared hatred, but it doesn't.
OH, AND FUCK THAT STUPID RACCOON

I think the last super hero movie I saw was Dark Knight. I’ve never understood the appeal.

I mostly agree, but they bring my niece and nephew a lot of joy and I'm sure I would have loved them when I was a kid, so I can't really be mad.
Anyway, this is how it's always been. In the 80s they based whole movies / cartoon series off of toys.

I'm on board with this. They are just terrible. Just plain terrible. I've gone on about them before. I gave them plenty of chances and everytime I'm left feeling nothing but baffled at the gazillions of 'fans' of these dumb shit shows. It has alot in common with Fox news and their fanatics. Marvel may just be Russia propaganda too. Who knows how many of these people are even real at this point? Perhaps they're all propaganda robots. The fans too. It's baffling if not.
