If track 12 is Come Back, I think Retrograde kind of works best before it rather than Yellow Moon. But this is the corner we’ve painted ourselves into.

“Yellow Moon” is one of those songs that I’d love to hear dirtied up a little bit — something a bit less pristine-sounding, perhaps something similar to that version of “Let Me Sleep” from PJ20. The composition feels rootsy/bluesy in a way not a lot of PJ songs do, a style which is served especially poorly by LB’s production choices.

When I think about Yellow Moon I hear Pearl Jam covering Harvest Moon, which is absolutely something I could see myself voting for.

Yellow Moon is great. Always has been.

Instead it ends up sounding New Agey by way of Massage Envy spas, with a melody like molasses. Yuck

It’s weird that the two songs everyone got bonered up about being on this were DotC and DtE. Two great songs but i feel like there could have been some concessions to have more quantity of good songs on this. You should all smash your boners with a dictionary

Need a LB song on the album, so better get the best one, and even if you think it’s tight between the remaining LB songs, surely Dance is far better than Retrograde.
