Thoughts on the German schmear?
I hate the word schmear. It’s gross.
I also hate the idea of doing anything to brick because there are no backs. Masonry work is laborious and cool. Painting it makes me angry. A schmear makes me uneasy. You had a craftsman who appreciated lines and symmetry, and now you’ve turned it into stucco, the art form of an alcoholic carpenter.
