I believe this is scientifically accurate:
(maneuver : difficulty level)
drive in front first: 2
drive out back first: 3
drive in back first: 4
drive out front first: 1.5
So i think pulling in front first slightly edges out the back in.
*my driver seat is practically on the rear wheel, so driving out front first is a bit more difficult.

I hate the back-ins, but if I’m being completely honest, I’d say a lot of that stems from how shitty I am at doing it myself. Parallel parking, too. My own inadequacy rears its ugly head when I watch others deftly do it.
But it is also fucking stupid if you’re actually shopping. The groceries go in the trunk, not under the bonnet. Wank stains.

Why don't more people get annoyed with people backing out of parking spaces?
Because 99% of people who back in take way longer than it would to pull in forward, blocking traffic flow for longer in the process. And the more people doing it - which seems to have severely increased the last few years, the more chaotic and disruptive it becomes.
I only do it if nobody is behind me and if it's a parking lot I think backing up when leaving poses more of a threat.
I agree with trag.

Backing in is dumb. The answers for doing so dont hold water.
"its easier to back in than back out" Why? YOu are literally doing the same exact maneuvering. "There are more opportunities to hit people backing out" Why? Are there more people entering the store/hanging in the parking lot when you arrive as opposed to leaving?
Backing in requies you driving past the spot (cars then follow you as if you are maybe finding another spot or leaving the parking lot), and then pressing the brakes (or for fucks sake what are they doing now?), reversing (okay everybody back up!!!!), then straightening out, then backing in, then straightening out, then backing in makings sure you dont hit the cars next to you.
It makes zero sense. I mean, go for it, do what you want, im all for that, but dont pretend its easier. Its just a preference. A really weird preference.

The only time I back in is when I drop the car off at the mechanic, where they have all the vehicles backed into their spots, and I want to impress those guys.

This is all that really needs to be said about it.

I don't think she's wrong. My dad and uncles back in everywhere (RINO/MAGA) and so do the MAGA neighbors we have.

strangely, i can back in and parallel park like a god-damn champ. but when it comes to pulling into diagonal spaces, it's like i have 4 extra chromosomes.

Evidence doesn’t support this. Our oldest and all this younger generation do this. And she and her whole group are as anti-MAGA as you can get.

Ever since we got our newest car, when I pull in to a spot I get out and get irritated at how crooked I am.

we have to back in to our space at our seattle apartment..I make my wife do it because I cant watch the "tv" while backing up and telling me what to do and making buzzing noises if we're too close to the wall or the car next to us...

i have gotten worse at back-in parking over time to the point i stopped attempting it
felt more likely to cause an accident
at this point i will say i think it is annoying when you are in your car parked and someone tries to back-in park next to you
there is something about their face as they are parking
like they are looking around too much and seeking affirmation
look elsewhere
i am not here to validate your lifestyle
