Agreed on the Long vs Suh matchup. Should be fun to watch.

I think its time to realize that the Bears aren't a defensive minded team anymore. The offense has shown flashes of what it can do, but needs to be at the top of its game more often for this team to succeed at a high level. Because when the offense is clicking this team can score points as well as anyone.

Once they dropped Lovie for the QB guru, it was pretty obvious they were transitioning. Though I don't think their offense is in the category of Denver, NE or GB just yet.
I'm surprised the Def has regressed as much as it has though. I figured it would since you can't count on the CB production and TDs we had last year. But the pass rush just isn't there, meaning we have to blitz more, which means more big plays. We're still getting turnovers though, which is good.

DL is missing Melton. Bush had like 5-6 10+ yd runs. Nice to see Peppers show up though.
Cutler's mechanics went to shit. Jeffery looked good and his blocking was great on the Forte TD.

Have to have that win against the Giants. THe offense, esp theOL, looks much improved. I don't think we're going to go far though, with this defense and the injuries.
So, can anyone here play DT since we seem to be scouting local HS's?

Yeah, the defense looks pretty terrible unfortunately.

To be fair they do cause the most turnovers. And turnovers help win games.

both Marshall and Jeffery block down field really well. The offense in general is just so much more organized than last season. That being said, this team is going nowhere in the playoffs.

Most likely, but we have to get there first before we can be heartbroken

I can't think of any conceivable reason to start Cutler when he gets back. I can't believe this is even a consideration.

I would like to see how McCown performs against a decent defense. Dallas' def is worse than ours and their team pulled an Atl and quit in the cold. Not to take anything away from how well he's done, but McCown hasn't faced a good def yet; faced one mediocre defense and the rest in the low 20s-32.... Cutler faced (and beat) some good defs in NO, Cin, Det, Minn (pre-injuries), NYG, Steelers... Let's see how he does against a good Cle def this week.
This got deleted from yesterday

It's a shame the Packers thread is bigger than this one. We can do better. Marshall and Jeffery making their case for best duo in the league?

Making the case? I don't think there's any question about it.
