the vocals are what makes the songtheplatypus wrote:Yeah it's very similar. Ed sings it better though
"Society" is my faveAnders wrote:Into The Wild surprised me. I’m a Pearl Jan fan, but I have never thought it was only because of Ed. I’ve loved side projects from others in the band, but with Ed, only Pearl Jam worked. Into The Wild however is great. It’s like a lost Pearl Jam album.
Hard Sun’s not my favorite on the album, but it’s still a very solid song.

Strong album.Monkey_Driven wrote:I think Rise is my favorite. Or Long Nights. Or No Ceiling. Or Guaranteed. or Society.
What don’t you like about it. I think it has a adventurous mood, that I really enjoy. Gois production as well, and Ed in fine form.theplatypus wrote:I don't like Into the Wild except for the two covers
It's a bunch of half-finished sketches, and I never feel like listening to itAnders wrote:What don’t you like about it. I think it has a adventurous mood, that I really enjoy. Gois production as well, and Ed in fine form.theplatypus wrote:I don't like Into the Wild except for the two covers
not really, and no. but i dont have an exhaustive knowledge of all the side projectsAnders wrote:Stip, you always struck me as a massive Ed fan (often like his songs best, don’t want lyrics or vocals from the others, put forth his voice as the main talent of the band) . Did you ever like any of the side projects from the others in the band, or make a song of the moment from one of those?
no ceiling and guaranteed are very goodtheplatypus wrote:It's a bunch of half-finished sketches, and I never feel like listening to itAnders wrote:What don’t you like about it. But I just remembered another song I like from it, "No Ceiling"
some might say (me) that that's what a folk melody does, hymnals tootheplatypus wrote:Plus there's no real variation in performance the whole way through. It reminds me of those old Napster mp3s that were just one single verse of a song looped several times.

a song like "Hallelujah" is a good example of both at onceMs Harmless wrote:some might say (me) that that's what a folk melody does, hymnals tootheplatypus wrote:Plus there's no real variation in performance the whole way through.
