That’s a lotThe Argonaut wrote:Like Joe, I've never smoked anything. I have fallen into a gummy habit over the last while, though. I eat a 10mg gummy probably five times a week. Tonight, I ate a 10mg gummy like right when I got home from work at 5, then another at about 8.
So, yeah, that's where I'm at with it right now. It's probably a net positive, at least for these cold winter months
Is it? Am I in trouble? Do I have a problem?spike wrote:That’s a lotThe Argonaut wrote:Like Joe, I've never smoked anything. I have fallen into a gummy habit over the last while, though. Haha you got me. I hate the term “straight edge” and think it implies some kind of deeply held belief system/lifestyle or moral ethos, which has nothing to do with why I abstain. Just too much baggage when all I mean to express is that I don’t drink or do drugs.Ello Sailor wrote:He means straight edge but he wants to appear more mature. Let him have this.
It would be cool if we lived in a world where you could say you were sober, but unfortunately we live in a world where people only use the word to mean "I don't drink."LoathedVermin72 wrote:Haha you got me. FWIW when I did the gummy, I definitely had the thought “oh so THIS is why stoner metal sounds like that”Ello Sailor wrote:I respect it. It just surprises me when folks who are super into avant-garde/psychedelic/abstract art have never so much as taken a single puff. You're like Frank Zappa or some shit.
Edibles go hard. Argo is a heavy user. I also respect that, cos hell fuckin' yeah dud.
Baggage there too, since it generally bears the implication that you “got” sober after being an alcoholic. Just no clean way to say this with current language, really.epilogue wrote:It would be cool if we lived in a world where you could say you were sober, but unfortunately we live in a world where people only use the word to mean "I don't drink."LoathedVermin72 wrote:Haha you got me. Fucking idiots.
No, but really though. It doesn't feel like a lot. I'd say right now I feel generally more carefree than usual with a slight sensation of physical heaviness (pleasant) all over but especially in my head. And I was snacking a lot before and really enjoying that.Ello Sailor wrote:Edibles go hard. Argo is a heavy user
Huh. The "baggage" / recovery part of it never occurred to me. I've never infurred that before.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Baggage there too, since it generally bears the implication that you “got” sober after being an alcoholic.
