Really? That seems odd to me. I guess I understand the reason but it almost seems like not getting your money’s worth. Like a cassette with only one side of music on it.

The argument, I guess, is that you want the songs spread out over 2 LPs to preserve sound quality, but if you spread them too thin you’ll be flipping or switching records every two songs. And that 3 sides vs 4 would be cheaper. The fact that they don’t mention an etching is what makes me think there isn’t one.

How is this different than a Vault show?

I’m on the record with “if they’re not going to do full vault shows, they should do best-ofs tours that haven’t had many live releases.” Best-of Asia ‘95, best of ‘96, etc. This is a version of that so it’s a step in the right direction (I.e. releasing something), but like a few of the vaults, I wish it really was “from the vault” and not something that’s readily available.

I think the 2000-onwards show all are, and if I had to guess, I would wager LA '98 and the two early Seattle shows are. It might be a more interesting conversation to figure out which show is missing the most material.

I don't remember any live vinyl coming out without some level of complaining about SOMETHING.

Maybe the Third Man Records show?

I didn’t know until reading this that they played those at the Third Man show. Who cuts Corduroy?

My only guess is because it’s on every single live release they’ve ever released.

Another cash grab from the band, instead of releasing another Lost Dogs they release another live album of something widely available. Actually they sold this show already in their bootleg program of course. And during Covid they released the video on NUGS. Some of us are now paying for this show for a third time. Four if you also went to that show

i used to have a great compilation of Ten live from the early tours. not sure what happened to that CD-R ... hopefully in a box in my basement

ed's voice and the bass the main things that jump out from that era (in addition to awesome guitar tone) ... basically everything was small club recordings back then
