Cooper says the Pearl Jam song Release was an inspiration while he wrote the screenplay, so he flew to Seattle to show the film to lead singer Eddie Vedder, who wound up collaborating on the soundtrack.
"I ran the movie for Eddie and I'll never forget the look on his face," says Cooper. "It moved him."

Well..I thought that was pretty much awesome. Usually when I hear a Pearl Jam song in a show or a movie, the familiarity of the song and my own 'visions' of it make it so I can't really fit it into the concept of the clip I am seeing it with. But this worked for me.
Plus I think the movie looks like it could be fantastic.
