I remember reading about Radiohead snubbing her at the Grammys in 2009 and she got all chippy the day after. I laughed.

as retarded as this entire scene is as it's playing out between the two of them, I have to say, I think O'Connor is right even though her delivery is batshit crazy all the way around. She's always been that way, but still, no one gives a damn, she should know that.
anyway - seeing how there's a (now largely ignored) thread in N&D about feminism, there's a great deal of validity to what the woman has to say and I can't help buy feel (since I'm O'Connor's age) at some time in the not too distant future, I think Miley Cyrus is going to wake up one day and start beating her head against a wall with the sudden realization that everything O'Connor said was correct, and she should have listened to the message regardless of the idiot delivering it.

Other than, I didn't really read Sinead's tone as being particularly batshit, I have to agree with malice.

she's pretty batshit to think her attempt to 'reach out' would have garnered any other response for one, but in general, O'Connor is way too hot and cold in her attitudinal stance when she gets this way- maybe she's not batshit, but she presents herself this way- just my opinion, of course.
carry on.

I don't know, it read like a whole bunch of sanctimonious slut-shaming to me. Why is Miley Cyrus without agency over her body?

The third letter to Miley I just posted sounds a bit batshit tbh.

I don't think it's cut-and-dry, I just think that any time you write an "open letter" on your blog, part of your reason is self-promotion. Otherwise you'd just get their info and email them.

Well the implication is that she doesn't because she's 20 and not 40. Which the feminist in me finds really patronising and frustrating but the mother in me wants to agree with.
