So, I'm listening to Turning Mist, and Mike is a far better singer than I've been led to believe. I mean, he's not great, but as long as he doesn't step out of whatever his comfort zone is, I could see him enjoyably singing lead on the right song (or songs).
He should go for it, and pj should toss out another record too, and ed should do another solo album minus the ukulele built entirely off 'bugs', and stone should write a funk album and get ed to barry white all over it, no touring, just gimme music

He also sings on Black Diamond. There's a version on the Vic vault release as well as night 2 at Madison Square Garden in 2008. I'm sure it was covered other times, but those are 2 I can think of off the top of my head.
They should just do an epic release of "solo" songs performed by the whole band. No tweaking or fixin just a the songs how each member wants them performed by the group. Loose, raw and organic sessions.
