I just said "by far. in my book." Which reinforces my post but also makes it clear that it is only my own opinion.

Yes, I have since read your post.

The dialogue in Deadwood is sharper and funnier by far than any of the others.
It's Shakespearean. Pure brilliant.

I rewatched Deadwood recently. some of the first episodes are a little weak. Good show though.

I've never watched Treme. Should I?

I love treme, but it's very polarizing. Not much actually happens. It's just good actors playing interesting characters.

If you liked the movie 'Carnage' or saw the play, you'll like Treme.

Yeah, I liked God of Carnage (the play) well enough. Didn't see the film.

The Shield is next on my list to get into for a couple reasons

a. mick's recommendation
b. Clark Johnson directed like 8 episodes or something
c. I fear i can not continue to avoid the spoilers about the supposed amazing conclusion.
Johnson directed both the pilot and the finale, which are both excellent.

By far. In my book.
Nonsense.

Breaking Bad was amazing. The Wire close behind. Then Deadwood and Sopranos.

I still consider the first 4 seasons of Dexter to be one of my faves. I can separate them from the garbage that came later.

Yeah, Dexter started strongly. I gave up on it in season 5 I think.

The downfall of Dexter ruined the entirety of the series for me. Because in hindsight, it had one great season (4) and 2 pretty good ones (1 and 2). The rest are just so so bad.

Oz has a really high rating on imdb if I remember correctly. I need to check it out.

I love "Breaking Bad". It's a lot of fun. Sometimes silly and over-the-top. But it can't touch the level of writing, acting and cinematography in the best Sopranos episodes. That show is a couple notches above it.
