Every individual element working in the OP song is up my alley, yet this music as a whole does nothing for me. What do you call that when it happens?

I like that the cover of Strange Geometry looks like an iPhone is waiting outside of a bar in the pre-dawn hours in some steampunk Suburbia.

Sitting on a bus pointed towards downtown. Threat of rain on a late Saturday afternoon looming over the skyscrapers. Now this music’s utility in my day-to-day rigmarole is starting to make some sense.
