Meh, let the man have his Sabbath. I only started listening to them a few years ago. What classifies as a "Big hitter" is relative and generational, after all.

They kinda fell off my radar after Mezzanine, I'll have to check it out..Soma. wrote:Protection lets this run down, unfortunately. 100th Window is a better album but obviously breaks the run of three.Kral wrote:MASSIVE ATTACK:

I'll admit I forgot about Amnesiac due it being a leftovers album, much the same way I skipped over Pisces Iscariot for my Smashing Pumpkins run.

OKC through to Amnesiac is incredible.Kral wrote:Amnesiac never did to much for me, Kid A was also a little out of my comfort zone, but still a pretty good album.warehouse wrote:that would be my choice, but i think that most people would say OK Computer>Kid A>AmnesiacKral wrote:I suppose the obvious choice would be The Bends>OK Computer>Kid A, but im not a huge fan of the band, although The Bends is fucking awesome!Soma. wrote:I'm not a big The Bends or Hail to the Thief fan, and they book-end their finest albums.

Blast Tyrant>Robot Hive>Beale Street, although Self-Titled through Jam Room is no slouch.

Both are great but I favor '2black's run slightly.

Stones: Let it Bleed - Sticky Fingers - Exile on Main St
Without a doubt, in my mind, best back-to-back-to-back of all-time.

I'm horribly uneducated when it comes to the Stones but I enjoy these albums. Thanks for weighing in.Gods' Die wrote:Stones: Let it Bleed - Sticky Fingers - Exile on Main St

Bobby D: bringing it all back home, highway 61, blonde on blonde
Bruce: wild, born to run, darkness
Beatles: revolver, sgt pepper, white album
Bowie: hunky dory, ziggy, Aladdin sane
Jimi Hendrix experience: fucking obviously
Cliched? Yes, but I went through my whole ipod and passed over a ton of runs/records that I fucking love (I didn't mention Tom Waits), but I truly think these overplayed records are the best runs ever.

They're one of my favorite bands ever solely for this run. And I put on other stuff of theirs about once every 2 years. That's how much I love this run of records.Soma. wrote:I'm horribly uneducated when it comes to the Stones but I enjoy these albums. That's a great one. I rate Diamond Dogs highly but there isn't a run it would do well in.Gods' Die wrote:Bowie: hunky dory, ziggy, Aladdin sane
