Its not like he'd be hurting financially if he only toured for soundgarden for a year. Especially if he toured with pj again the year after, like usual.

Jeremy Taggart maybe if they still hang out with each other. Is Brad Wilk touring with Black Sabbath too? Maybe he'll do it.
God the idea that some one else will be sitting behind the drums playing shows for SG, even if there are few dates just doesn't want to staple in my mind. It's just not supposed to happen.

Pj are coming for an extensive European stint kids. Won't be back in the states til fall 2014 at the earliest I reckon.

im pretty sure he has been in PJ longer now, but i have no idea how much he wrote for SG

I was thinking in terms of albums he played on, but your question is interesting to.
So maybe Matt actually does like being in pearl jam? fascinating...
