This is my favorite part of getting into "old" bands - knowing that there's even more good shit to come.

Finally got around to watching the Big Star documentary. It's a must-see if you haven't watched it yet.

This band is pretty solid. I know I've talked about them before, but not sure if it was on the old board or the 70's Rock thread. Anyway, a few years ago my wife's dad brought me a remastered double CD of '#1 Record' and 'Radio City'. Both are pretty great, and you definitely can tell it's classic 70's rock, but at the same time, there are hints of the future in there. Things that bands like The Mats, and REM latched onto and made their own.
