I agree with delanoche. Indifference as a closer is amazing, but having the whole arena lit up detracts from the mood and message of the song. I'd like to see them do the opposite to close a show... play it in the dark.
But on paper this looks like an amazing show, with an easily forgivable 'baseline' encore II. Hopefully CopperTom was at this one as well and can give us a good report.

Absolutely. This is the way they used to do it, and it was phenomenal. Not that it's fair to compare their shows from now to 1995, but...

yeah that's tough. I bet that DTE > Corduroy > LB > MYM run was tough too. Gotta give it to him for the effort though

Im watching some videos from the show..and his voice seem pretty good. Another thing i find interesting is how relaxed and cool they all seem to eachother in this leg.

I think more needs to be said about this; Between Even Flow and Sirens, Stone starts singing "Let It Go"
Hilarious

I just watched this, thought it was quite good. Ed I think gets almost all the lyrics right. I also like that they (the band) all seem to be pretty calm and focused on playing the song. Watching this reminds me of earlier Pearl Jam.

Eddie encouraging stone to sing "maybe something from frozen". That's pretty good work by Ed
I imagine he was also pretty shocked about how such a non story got so much attention

It's funny we need to give that as a compliment.

Yeah, this sounds good.
I like Stone's hair too. He started growing it out around 2008, yeah? We're through the looking glass here, people

I know we mock them for playing there so much, but the band seems to deliver pretty consistently great shows in Berlin. It's like the San Diego of Europe.

Pj could play the phone book at this venue and it wouldn't matter. That place is just magical.
This show was incredible. A little more generic than Vienna (how random was that set??? But it worked incredibly well)
They sound better and better every time. And I'm not being a fanboi. Brooklyn was tight but this and Vienna was a whole new level. They're gearing up to take on stadiums and I didn't think they had the chops for that but they do. They really do.
Sound was a total mess in Vienna. Ed even commented on it being the second worst place for sound that they've played. But whatever they're doing with their sound isn't working.
You can hear things defined but there's no body to it. It's not mixed together if that makes sense and matts kick is louder by far than jeff. This was all the way through Vienna then It stared again about half way through Berlin.
Other than that, two incredibly great shows. If you can, see them at wulheide.
Everything about it is perfect and they seem to respond to that.
Glad I went.

if it's just the lighting that's the issue, sure i can understand the preference- i would even agree. but i'd still rather hear the song than not, and would take a performance with the lights up over ledbetter or freebird any night.

I just watched the first 6 songs of this, they were all pretty damn good. It's sounding like Pearl Jam has kinda kicked ass in 2014.
01. Pendulum
02. Low Light
03. Nothingman
04. In My Tree
05. Go
06. Why Go
