would the first one be good while running on the treadmill? i usually need something a bit upbeat to keep me motivated. i also started out with Generals so i need to see how the first one is

The first album is more folksy, singer songwriter type stuff. But that description doesn't do it justice, their music isn't as compartmentalized as describing it like that makes it sound.

The second record is definitely more upbeat though.

Finished the first one...pretty good. Easy to put on at work, that's for sure, which is a good way to internalize the melodies and choruses. Once that happens it's really easy to get into a record.
