First full listen to my mix, a few really vague, preliminary observations...
-Whoever put this together obviously put a lot of thought into it. It's extremely well-crafted. Solid pacing, and not a single song that seems out of place. I appreciate the care that was put into this.
-A decent amount of female singers. I guess it's possible this was done on purpose since the mixer knew I'd be the one listening to it, but even if it's just an accident, it's a happy one.
-When the mixes are posted for everybody, I have a feeling this one will prove to be very popular among those who bother to check it out.
I'm gonna give it a closer listen perhaps tomorrow and try to make some more detailed notes. It's on the mellow side, but there were a few songs I'm looking forward to hearing again.

I'm half an hour into my nearly two hour mix and I'm at a complete loss as to who created this. I can rule a few people out though.
Intrigued.

“Intro” – the XX:
“L.I.A.B.” – Onra:
“Scenic World” – Beirut: almost physically repulsive
“Over the Love” – Florence and the Machine: even worse
“Crown on the Ground” – Sleigh Bells: deeply unpleasant
“Latch (Album Version)” – Disclosure: (26 sec skip)
“Wildfire” – SBTRKT: (37 sec skip)
“Happy Up Here” – Royskopp (5 sec skip)
“Sultan’s Request” – Flying Lotus: look, this isn’t really my thing, but it’s better than anything else on this mix by miles
“Soldier” – Erykah Badu: *shrug*
I could imagine someone uncritically tolerating this largely featureless, unremarkable collection of sounds as they might the reassuringly bland artwork in a doctor’s office but to express genuine preference this music, above all other potential options, is frankly mind-boggling.

I think my mixer started to run out of ideas about 3/4 through. I got Pearl Jam's Smile and I think it is the regular No Code version

Wow. I thought eighty minutes was the limit.
You're a trooper to sit through
anyone's two hour mix. I don't think I'd be able to.

I have never heard a song by this band that I didn't find unspeakably obnoxious.

I've listened to mine once and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will listen a couple more times before a review. Based on the music in the mix and a post I made in another OB thread, I think I may have my secret mixer narrowed down to 1 of 3 people.

Thanks man...this mix is pretty awesome, thank you for taking the time to making it.
And you know what? Its awesome because its not my usual kind of music...its very mellow and acoustic, and yes...after listening to Down In The Valley i downloaded the first Head and the heart LP...so, yes...your mix is a success.
Also, very surprised on how much i liked that Tegan and Sara song.

very cool to hear, i loved what i put together(though im sure everyone loved the mixes they made) and listened to it 3 or 4 times before i decided to finalize it, and the only song i thought about replacing was the Deer Tick song near the end, it sounds a bit off the way the bass distorts, but that whole album is like that but its such a great album if you havent heard it.
any bands on there you dont know yet?
