I'm all for making fun of 2014 Eddie Vedder, but, I mean, that's just a picture of the dude dressing up with his kids for Halloween.

This right here. Ultimately not a big deal. ... Dorky middle aged dad dresses up to make the daughters he loves happy. Cool. Whatever. However that's where I do think how this pic got out becomes relevant.

Because if Jill sent this to a few family and friends and then one of them posted it on twittogramblr, or wherever, then ed has the same sympathy from me as anyone who has daggy pictures posted on Facebook without their permission.

If ed/Jill/some clown in management posted this publicly somewhere because they thought it would be good promotion or show a side of Ed we haven't seen before, then the small part of 90s me that started to die a little when Chris Cornell performed with the pussycat dolls just received another solid ass kicking.

maybe stip had a point in asking me what I'm doing posting on a pearl jam website after all...

I don't see any problem with it at all. It's just a fun little picture. It could happen to any band at any time.
