I think he meant actual desert noises; the heavy silence of the vast, the fluttering shift of feasting birds, faint sizzle of the blistering sun. Your own steps as you heave precariously towards your demise. The storm clouds of sunken paths. The heralds of an ancient hunger rising. THEY TOLD YOU IT WOULD COME BUT THEY DID NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE QUIET, THIS TERRIBLE DEAFENING QUIET

IT'S SO GOOOOOOOOD!

I'm blown away by this new record. It's totally hitting the spot. I pre-ordered the vinyl. Which was a mistake. I'm seeing them on Monday. I should've just grabbed it at the show.

I've listened to it front to back four times already. First album since The Decemberists that I can't stop thinking about and wanting to consume. I think it's a great record and probably their strongest effort so far. But let's live with it for a while and see how it ages compared to the last one.

Suzanne Santo, of HoneyHoney, has a solo album dropping in August. You can listen to it and read more about it in the link below. I'm really digging the track. I can't wait to hear this album. She's so fucking talented. I love her voice and her phrasing. She's awesome.

New HoneyHoney record dropped. It's the music they wrote for the first season of The Guest Book. I haven't listened to the entire thing yet, but the first 7 or 8 tracks are dope. BIG fan, so far. God, I love this goddamn band!
