and not just because i am usually thinking about them

but also because of 311

many like them for their mellow vibes whereas I prefer the more rock flavored materials

I don't think "poser" is the word. They seem very authentic in their corny fratbro-funk ways.

But yeah, there's a reason they're one of the most meme'd on bands of all time. I don't think failing to "get into" them is worth a second thought.

or maybe the poser is me because not so secretly i want to literally "get into" them but am afraid to accept that impulse
