U2 has many great songs. So keep ignoring my U2 post please. This forum is so miserable and jaded. Bono was cool to me and his daughter is very nice too. Some other people I have waited on working in NYC hotels for years: Axl Rose, Robert Plant, Madonna, Martin Short, Chad Smith, Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher, Lucy Lu, Selma Hyack, Chrissie Hynde, Blondie, Howard Stern, Benicio Del Toro, Cameron Diaz, Danny Harrison...many others. And I have to say they were all nice to me. I'm also in the Screen Actors Guild and have met many others; Robert Deniro(I am the pinball player in City By The Sea), Robin Williams. NY can be fun but I want to move to Maui, and I will!

I waited on Bono once, nice guy, he then mingled around the dining room of the restaurant I worked in and had a long conversation with a food runner. Humble, cool guy, him and Edge hung out all night drinking, talking, hanging out.

I absolutely love this song beyond words. Brings back so many wonderful memories of that era. I played this album to death in 1997, and still play it several times a year, every year.

I don't know much Seger, but I also enjoy Still the Same when it comes on the radio. The melody in the verse is a really strong one.

Me and my friends would listen to U2 Pop to death as well back in 97, we could never understand why this album got so much shit from people/media. U2 Pop is a great album! I don't know much Seger myself but I heard We Got Tonight on the radio again recently and it was very moving, great singing. I guess I'm just getting older. (36)

They always tip 20% But I do remember Bruce Willis pulling out a horses neck roll of bills and giving me 500.00 to "keep the champagne coming" He was cool he threw a birthday party for Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore was there too. Funny story, one night I was working outside and I could see a figure with his back turned to me in the corner of my eye, immediately my brain somehow thought "thats John Frusciante" And it was! He got into the back of a black car (the night of the Radiohead show in BK back in 2007 or something) He then got out of the car and did some back stretches, he gets back in the car, smiles and waves at me being that I'm looking at him a bit star struck (I love to play in his hendrix-ishness from time to time, huge fan of his, rhcp, solo work, Ataxia.....). I was just laughing when the car drove off,"holy shit frusciante just waved AT ME!!!" surreal. My boss went up to his room a few nights later to deliver a very expensive bottle of wine JF goes to my manager when he brings the bottle "Do I know you?" My manager was like 'Um no, but i know you" JF you are a genius.

Bob Seger, Jewish Malice, a U2 song, and a Bruce Willis anecdote. Truly, this is Our Greatest Thread.

the LuNY account only makes sense if you read his posts as if he entered prison/a coma/a remote, uninhabited island in 1995, while he was just learning to read and write, and only recently re-joined society

More importantly who makes the old school Ed face when singing the lyric "SO TONIGHT the Moon I go" during Yellow Moon? I know I do.
