Made a Tegan and Sara mix for my runs. I went uptempo, which is unusual for me.

The Con
Hop a Plane (demo version)
On Directing

I've been mostly doing podcasts recently--it doesn't really get me pumped up, but I like being distracted so I'm not thinking about my time or distance or whatever.

I haven't gotten around to making a playlist - just all the stuff that's on my phone gets put on random. For some reason without fail it mostly turns into an R.E.M. mix - not really the best workout music.

At the gym today I had the epiphany that I am so glad I never threw Tool under the bus during my indie fag years the way 90% of the people on RM did. Listening to Mr. Chancellor's searing tone lifts me up when I'm nearing failure.
That said, the irony of getting swole while listening to a band named Tool is not lost on me.

I quite like listening to dumbass trap when I'm making gains. It makes me feel like I'm in character without having to get a tribal tattoo.
