If I had to pick a least favorite it might be To Bring You My Love. Let England Shake is a bit concepty for me, but it's fine.

Is This Desire is a good mix of old and new for me.

Huge fan right here. The amount of talent and range this lady possesses is pretty astounding.

Big fan. Only seen her once, would see her again in a heartbeat.

I've been deep in this pro-shot chunk of her 2001 set at the Benicasim Festival in Spain this afternoon/evening. Unfortunately they didn't televise the whole set, but what's here in scorching. Her 2001 band was pretty stellar. This is definitely worth watching if you can spare 25 minutes for some live Polly Jean...

I'm only really familiar with Rid of Me and, to a lesser extent, Dry; I really need to explore further one of these days. I'd love to see her play.

I stood next to her in a bar once. She seemed teeny-tiny.

On to this one now...

The dude who runs the unofficial PJ Harvey message board started following me on twitter, so maybe I'll have to migrate over there. Sadly it doesn't look very busy.

I can't believe Evol didn't make it onto Uh Huh Her. I love that song. The version from that St. Luke's show is great. Actually, everything from Uh Huh Her sounds particularly great from St. Luke's. Killer version of Shame playing right now.

She has an amazing amount of stage presence for someone so tiny.

I love how every time she reinvents herself, she goes ahead and reinvents her back catalog as well when she goes out on the road. I wish more artists had the same devotion to their visions as she does to hers.

I finished. It was really good. No standout track that I felt like I had to hear immediately but it was satisfying from start to finish. I will be going back for more listens over the next few days and I'll report back later

That was my first reaction when it came out all those years ago. At first I wondered if it meant it was lacking something, but eventually I realized it just meant it was that good. A lot of personal favorites on there for me; Big Exit, Good Fortune, The Whores Hustle & The Hustlers Whore, Kamikaze, & We Float are all way up there in my book. It's probably one of my top three albums of the 00s.

It's definitely her most accessible album.

I have that record with down by the water. I'm not sure I ever listened to any of it beyond that one song. I like that song quite a bit though

You should probably listen to the rest. That's one of the most critically acclaimed records of all-time. Spin named it the #3 album of the 90s (after OK Computer and Nevermind, I believe).
