I have no problem with LBC.

I remember hating it on first listen though, for whatever reason.

Always loved the song.

LBC was the second PJ song ever that I just straight up disliked upon first listen.

Light Years is a fantastic song.

I like the instrumental middle section that was carried over from Puzzles and Games, they certainly picked the right bit to hang onto. I'm just not crazy about what surrounds it.

That bridge sounds far more natural in Light Years than Puzzles.

i feel bad for LBC. It was this interesting thing, initially maybe off-putting due to it's name, and seeming kind of cheesy (Tonight on Nightline: Was Love Boat Captain Sirens' pre-historic ancestor?) . then it started making sense, and it was like, OK - i get it. Nice.

and by the time it started making sense, the band started rushing through the motions and it lost the vibe that gave it meaning and now what's left is some 8,754 beats per minute god only knows what

out of my mind, on the other hand, has not been perverted by the band's increasing dayjobism and has retained its pleasant and delightful demeanor

LBC will always be hated by me bc it brought Boom into the band
