It's unfortunate that most of the lyrics in Bushleaguer are cringe-worthy, because I think the music is great and the chorus lyrics could work for a different song.

It probably would have been a miss if he had actually done it, but I heard Eddie wanted to sing Gimme Some Truth at the Tribute To Heroes concert. Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty had to talk him out of it. Told him it was a time for healing and to ask questions and be angry later.

I think eddie generally does a better job covering political songs than he does writing them. His cover of patriot from MSG 2000 (the rally) is astounding.
