I think it would be actually kinda cool if Leno was a guest on Letterman. I doubt it will ever happen, but it would be interesting (at least to me).

you think they'll really move Ferguson up?
No, I don't. But there has been speculation based on the fact that they structured both contracts to expire at the same time.
I think it makes perfect sense.

Though Fallon appears to be killing it on The Tonight Show. So there is the off chance that CBS tries to go head to head and bring in someone more accessible. Fart noise. Stephen Colbert

I seriously doubt Ferguson would get it. Too old, too foreign, too weird.

If Colbert is in, what will his act be? The same schtick? I know his sincerity comes through his sarcasm, but how far will that go in the mainstream?

Ferguson should definitely stay where he is, he's fantastic, but I don't think he would work at 11:30.

All you have to say is that he's foreign. Definitely not getting it.

Ferguson's contract gives him an 8 million dollar payday if they sign anyone else to replace Letterman.

That might be more absurd than the $45 million Conan buyout.

Yah but that's literally a rounding error even for a year contract let alone what will probably be a host for the next 15-20 years.
