Your Husker hatred is adorable.
I don't hate the Huskers by the way. I just find the "greatest fans in college football" thing to be extremely annoying. Same thing with St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
A good deal of my favorite sports memories involve Husker games and moments.
I agree with you. Our fans are no different than most. Some good ones. Some bad ones. I'm not the typical Husker fan.
Don't get me started on the Cardinals. Ick.

I like being in the Big Ten. It's a better fit for Nebraska as far as football and basketball. I miss the Big 12 for baseball no doubt.Monkey_Driven wrote:I wish the Huskers didn't go to the Big Ten. Agreed though. Outside of Miami I'm not looking forward to many home football games. I'm excited to tailgate though. That is half the fun.

I am also looking forward to tailgating. I only live about two miles from Faurot Field so I usually walk to the stadium with my backpack cooler and go from tailgate to tailgate. Definitely one of the highlights of every fall.BigRedLedbetter wrote:I like being in the Big Ten. It's a better fit for Nebraska as far as football and basketball. So much this. I have no special affinity for BSU but it's a ton of fun to be tailgating with friends for games. And given the lopsided nature of most BSU home games, it's a lot more fun during the second half to be walking around at your own leisure drinking beer that's non-price gouged and much better.BigRedLedbetter wrote:I'm excited to tailgate though. My wife still doesn't understand why making other plans on home game Saturdays is not an option for me. In down years she is like "the team sucks who cares" and I am just like "um, the tailgate."Green Habit wrote:So much this. Yeah that doesn't make sense. It should be WVU or Louisville, if not for them Rutgers may have actually won a couple Big East titles.elliseamos wrote:new jersey hating alabama. ????
Penn St makes more sense than Alabama as well. The Penn State coach is already talking shit about Rutgers before they even played their first Big 10 game. They play in NJ on Sept 13, you can't get a ticket for cheaper than $200.

My friends don't understand how I can miss weddings and other gatherings because of football.

Tell me about it. You just don't make other plans on Saturday. Your day revolves around football. It's a way of life here and good luck getting anywhere during a home game. I'm sure it's different in Seattle. I've always wanted to see a game there. I like the CP hire for you guys.

Some people always freak out when you miss a wedding. People divorce 50% of the time anyway haha. Yeah it should essentially be a state law in NE.....you JUST don't get married on a game day
baseball > music > other sports > people
A few exceptions of course
