Interesting premiere, but I'm not sure how the show will hold up not being set in Scotland.

Don't feel too bad for him. He gets his wife back but more importantly he gets to raise a child he would otherwise not have had and that's very significant for him (and the story).

They'll return to Scotland, no worries.

What I meant was that, at least for me, the Scottish scenery and culture felt like an integral part of the story in the first season. Period dramas set in France always felt kinda like "been there, done that", so we shall see how the second season holds up to a pretty high bar.

Great finale up until that final shot, which looked like a fake sunrise. My wife said:
Spoiler: show
It'll be like "Claire, I've moved on to a younger woman. She's only as old as my mom"
"The fatal flaw of all revolutionaries is that they know how to tear things down but don't have a f**king clue about how to build anything."

My hubby was disappointed we didn't get to see
Spoiler: show
the slaughter of battle.
Maybe next season.
I thought Bree wasn't tall enough but Roger will do. Overall I thought it was a wonderful season finale.

Claire is nothing but trouble, I tell ya.
