No you are safe.
Actually it did add itself automatically to my library when I logged into my iTunes account. Fuck that shit.

I love Lykke Li's appearance on the closing track.

I've pretty much hated everything U2 has done post-Pop, but people are giving this album great reviews. I'll have to check it out.

It is very much produced from the bottom up, which makes it far more like the 90's albums than the three 21st century ones.

I won't lie, I've lost a lot of respect for U2 in the last 10-15 years. Kinda the way a lot of people here feel about PJ. It would take a great album to win me back.

That's nothing U2 did, that's a setting you've placed on your account to auto-download purchases. U2 just had their giveaway work like a purchase.

They were paid in ivory and zebra hair.

There is more functional open space in these songs than anything they've done since Boy and October. I know they've been attempting to do this to some extent on every post-Pop record, but it feels like they've finally struck the right balance between the wistful innocence of the first two records and the crushing self-doubt of the nineties' albums. I'm super, super pleased with this so far.

I can hear early early U2 in this album I'll have to listen on a decent system but damn Bono's voice is so strong. He is such a good rock vocalist.

Quote from Bono "If you like Songs of Innocence, stay with us for Songs of Experience. It should be ready soon enough… although I know I’ve said that before…"

Better than expected after first listen, it's probably a step up from the last album (but that's not saying much).

Can't shake the feeling that this sounds like U2 copying Coldplay copying U2...
