PJ.com Fanboys
Yes, OP - PJ.com sucks and is full of nerdy, diehard PJ fanboys. To them Ed and company can do no wrong. Anyone who questions the the band are singled out and eventually banned from the site. They need that lack of freedom of expression to live in la la land.
SIS Hipsters
That said, this place here is full of bizarro PJ fans. They aren't bizarro in that they don't like PJ. Instead, these fanboys are the polar opposite in all the wrong ways. They brag about their enjoyment for shitty/obscure pj songs/albums and show disdain for any popular pj elements. Nevertheless, they still constantly fall all over everything pj - except they try to do so in the "I'm too cool to buy that, but let me give my track by track review" nonsense. Of course, there are some violations to the hipster rule (i.e. stip) who pretty much is exactly like the aformentioned pj fanboys on pj.com. But, most others fit the hipster mold. Oh and there's one more rule to PJ-hipsterism on SIS - whatever McP says praise it at all costs even if it's another boring story about how he knows music because he once he "blah blah ... for Bob Dylan... blah blah". It should be noted that all of the above, the fanboy and the hipsters are all actively patting themselves on the back for "being a part of a better forum" than PJ.com and their fans in this very thread.
So, let's turn this question back around - which is actually worse? PJ.com nerds or SIS nerds?
Answer: two sides of the same coin.

IlluminEd has to be McP, right? I can't think of anyone else who would put such quality work into a troll for such tiny gain. Except me maybe, but it's not me. I checked. Not one of my second accounts.

Did anyone else besides myself post on the MFC board on the old Five Horizons a long, long time ago? Now that was an interesting board.

Answer: two sides of the same coin.
Yes the PJ "love everything" vs. the SIS "hate everything" is quite a battle.
Q: Why did the hipster burn his mouth on his pizza?
A: Because he ate it before it was cool.
