Dusty was great. Really great. The other 4 songs didn't translate as well, and it's 100% on Kim. He played exactly like he would have if it was electric and it sounded a mess.

Pearl Jam's set felt a little disappointing outside of Hunger Strike. The band usually throws the hardcores a bone as deep cuts go. I actually like the big hits being played to big crowds, but 3 covers not counting Temple? Sheesh. Also, they had to follow Florence, and who won the night was between her and Tom Jones. Both were excellent.

A fully acoustic Given to Fly might interesting but otherwise that does look disappointing. I think we all expected Hunger Strike, probably in Pearl Jam's set. You know you'll get Last Kiss one night and probably a Neil cover at Bridge but more than that is cover overkill to me. I'd bet on Black, Betterman (which I've never liked at Bridge) and Future Days tonight. Throw in another Hunger Strike and there's 4-5 slots open. I think Just Breathe will get one of them, the others can make or break what we think of a short set.
I've been to a couple Bridge shows & they're a great experience. But that's also why I would want to go to see more than just Pearl Jam on the bill.

That was only the second time Rain was played in the US and the first time since 1997.

1997 was a Daughter tag, so it was actually the first.

Florence killed it.

Tom Jones was fun.

The beach boys guys look half dead but can still bring it.

Soundgarden accoustic was a little strange. Can't put my finger on it.

Pearl Jam - especially Ed's voice - sounded great. I don't care for Last Kiss but this version was fantastic. Warm full sound. I've been waiting 20 years to see TOTD on stage together so that was really cool. Great crowd, great atmosphere. Lots of people on my flight from Seattle yesterday attending.

And nice weather! Let's do it again tonight.
