Any good?
For fear of living up to my crappy movie reputation, yes. It's Marc Singer at his best. Someone else here has seen it, right?
Should this be my next live-posting extravaganza?
If I can get one more person to back me up on it, yes it absolutely should be.
Amazing that LV has not seen this movie yet. This is a classic. Its terrible, but its so good at the same time. This was one of those movies constantly replayed on TBS in like the early 90s.
The ferret scene on the pyramid is worth it alone.

I can't imagine what a "ferret scene" could possibly entail.

It's troubling. But at least he likes Return to Oz and The Princess Bride.
So it all comes out in the wash.

Return to Oz is in all-time favorite territory for me. I love that fucking movie.

Considered that one too, but decided it was more of a superhero action movie. I tried to only include pure fantasy - movies that are set in a self-contained world removed from reality.

Although... I guess they do come to New York... so maybe that's the rub.

Legend and it's soundtrack should both be ranked higher

I haven't seen the theatrical cut of Legend yet (with the Tangerine Dream soundtrack); I've only seen the Director's Cut with the Jerry Goldsmith score. But I just bought the Blu-ray, so I'm going to watch it soon. I really WANT to love it; the visuals are fucking unbelievable.

Yeah, when I think of that movie, I mostly remember real-world stuff with a climax set in a fantasy realm.
