Guys, a song is comprised of many, many moments.

The way the first chord of All or None creeps in, sounding completely downbeat and broken. That song is special.

The final build up in LBC too. As said above, it is executed so much better than it appears on paper.

One of my favorite moments is the chorus on Ghost. I love the drum fills, the watery guitar effects, and Ed's vocals. Really nice moment there.

Someone else mentioned the intro to Green Disease, that's one of my favorites too.

Riot Act is the pearl jam album I listen to most often. Each song is full of wonderful moments.

How long is a moment?

In Half Full: the somber transition (2:44-56) between the main part of the song to the outstanding outtro jam.

this will give me an excuse to listen to Riot Act again. i hated this album when it first came out, but it's grown on me more than any other PJ album. it's a hindsight album for me. i think it was too matured for me when it came out and i had to grow into it.

I remember being stoned out of my mind at the midnight sale and You Are was playing, I had no clue it was Pearl Jam.

"can't keep": jeff's bass hum intro, subtle but adds to the uneasy tension of the beat. ed's awesome lyrics. matt makes the song. mccready's line towards end of song is brilliant.

"save you": always hated this song. cheeseball.

"love boat captain": such an oddball song, wish i could hear the initial demo's of them working it up. matt again is great. i like the little riff's stone is doing behind the music. quirky, but cool changes.

"cropduster": favorite tune since i first heard album. no PJ song like it and some of my favorite and personal vedder lyrics. guitar work, love the harmonics at the ending.

"ghost": meh. i think mccready shines in that solo. matt's awesome fills.

"i am mine": again, meh. lyrics but overall boring pj song. not sure why that ending solo is so great to everyone? (just me though)

"thumbing my way": never big on this song. melody is ok.

"YOU ARE" - epic. pj ACTUALLY trying something. i was so excited to hear this. sad the last interesting guitar work from the band came from the fucking drummer, but hey, stone and mike are settled in to ed's shit now. (bye bye stone)

"get right" - i farted.

"green disease" - twice.

"help, help" - chorus's are cool. generic mike rambling/wailing gets me, though. be a little bit more..."constructive", man.

"bushleaguer": should of let stone sing what he had in the first place probably. this made it, but "down" didn't? i don't even buy the "doesn't fit thing". if a song is better than another, it's a better song. ed needed something to get him off live on bush. :shake:

"1/2 full": MIKE, MIKE, MIKE. that ending is boring, still wondering what everyone hears through that shit.

"arc": yawn. album is dead.

"all or none": lyrics are ok. mike shines. stone is trying. matt is missing wellwater material. outro.
